My Art

I produce art inspired by the natural world. I work mostly in pastel only portraying wildlife that I have actually seen, hoping to convey the emotion that I feel when seeing these animals in the wild. My style is not realistic and I tend towards a more to an impressionistic approach to my subjects.

I also paint landscapes in pastel and I am inspired by the beauty and variety of my native Northumberland. I love quiet places in the countryside and my paintings often portray the calm that you might find in the rural landscape including the beautiful skies and seascapes that we experience here. But also many of my paintings include paths and tracks that may make you want to explore and Northumberland is a great place to explore

All of my pastel originals are painted using high standard professional materials and all paintings are sold in frames to protect their surfaces.
